The Perfect Mix of Style and Performance

I wore the Lifestyle Patterns Socks throughout my Japan adventure, from exploring waterfalls and scenic trails to an overnight climb of Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest mountain at 3,776m. Taking on the mountain with around 1,700m of elevation gain and staying overnight in a mountain hut, these socks provided the comfort and reliability I needed for long days on the trail. The merino wool helped regulate temperature and kept my feet feeling fresh, while the fun designs added a unique touch of personality to my hiking gear. All-Day Comfort Above 3,000m

I put the Combat Tactical Socks to the test on an overnight hike up Mount Kita, Japan's second-highest mountain at 3,193m. With around 1,600m of elevation gain, it was a demanding climb, but these socks performed flawlessly. They were comfortable, supportive, and stayed in place over the steep, rocky terrain, while the merino wool kept my feet feeling fresh across both days. I'd happily trust them on any challenging hike.

Excellent Performance on Volcanic Trails

I wore the Posio Trekking Socks throughout my hiking trip in Japan, including the volcanic trails of Aso Kuju National Park, and they were outstanding. They were comfortable all day, provided great cushioning, stayed in place, and kept my feet dry and blister-free despite long hours on the trail. Easily some of the best hiking socks I've worn, and I'll definitely be taking them on future adventures.

Yes, the beanies from SuperYellow are specifically designed in Finland to withstand extreme cold temperatures, including conditions where winter temperatures can drop as low as -50°C. Each beanie is assigned both a thermal rating and a length rating to help you choose the right one for harsh winter weather(see under description).

For extreme cold temperatures like -35°C to -50°C, it is recommended to select beanies with:
Thermal Rating: 3 of 3 (highest level of insulation)
Length Rating: 3 of 3 (extra coverage for warmth)
Based on these ratings, the beanies best suited for these extreme temperatures are:

Additionally, the Beam beanie (Merino Wool Chunky Beanie) has the highest thermal rating of 3/3 but a length rating of 2/3. While still very warm, it provides slightly less coverage than the above models.

Our merino wool beanies have tight knitting, are thick and cover your ears. So yes, they are perfect for windy weather. However if you are expecting to be in freezing windy conditions then select a beanie that has more length (rating 3) which will provide more protection around the neck and ears.

Our beanies are one size and they fit for both men and women. Merino wool beanies adjust to your head when used without loosing their shape. For kids we have two sizes available: size 1 (46-50cm) and size2 (52-56cm).

The merino wool we use is sourced exclusively from farms that uphold a strict "mulesing-free" policy. This ensures that the welfare of the sheep is prioritized and that they are not subjected to any harm.

In essence, mulesing, a surgical practice involving the removal of skin from the sheep's breech, is avoided, preventing unnecessary discomfort and promoting humane farming practices. By adhering to mulesing-free standards, we support ethical and responsible treatment of the sheep in our supply chain.

Merino wool can be machine washed on delicate 30°, however usually airing is enough to freshen up the beanie. Do not use fabric softner. Lie flat to dry. Do not handwash. Please follow carefully the merino wool care instructions.
